Slovenian exports are growing faster than those of neighboring countries
Slovenia’s economy is showing impressive results. In the second quarter of 2024, the country’s GDP grew by 5.0% compared with the same period last year. In the first half of 2024, growth reached 4.1%.
Export performance stands out in particular: in the second quarter of 2024, exports increased by 6.5% — the highest rate in the past seven quarters. By comparison, in 2023, exports of goods fell by 0.7%.
Slovenia is outperforming other Central and Eastern European countries in terms of export growth. Coface analysts attribute this to stronger demand from Germany, the launch of new pharmaceutical production facilities, and deeper integration into European supply chains.
German exports grew by 3.9% in the first half of 2024, positively affecting the entire Central European economy.
