Winners of the France Prešeren National Award Are Announced

The names of the winners of the France Prešeren National Award became known. The group of winners was determined by a jury chaired by Vinko Möderndorfer. It also included a writer, editor and teacher Andrei Blatnik, a literary historian, theorist and teacher Miran Štuhec, a playwright Ira Ratej, a dancer and choreographer Tomaž Rode, a film critic, theorist, essayist and publicist Zdenko Vrdlovec, a cameraman Srečo Dragan, an art historian Breda Kolar Sluga, a designer Edi Berk, a dancer, choreographer and teacher Uršula Teržan, a producer Hugo Šekoranja, a pianist and conductor Simon Krečič, and a cellist, editor and translator Matej Venier.

Thus, costume and stage designer Bjanka Adžić Ursulov and screenwriter and director Filip Robar Dorin were awarded the prize for long service.

The prize in literature was given to the poet Jure Jakob.

Music conductor Martina Batič and composer Tomaž Svete were awarded prizes in music.

Actress Maruša Majer won the prize in theatrical art.

Aljoša Deklev and Tina Gregorič Deklev won the prize in architecture.

The prize in audio-visual art was awarded to the film director Dušan Kastelic.
