University of Ljubljana Improves Its Position in the Quacquarelli Symonds Ranking

Recent ranking results for universities around the world published by Quacquarelli Symonds, which is one of the three most respected world rankings, have shown that among 4,983 universities, the University of Ljubljana shares the 591–600 places. This year, the University of Ljubljana has improved its position. A year earlier, it occupied the 651–700 places. Almost 95,000 university students from all over the world participated in the survey.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world’s leading provider of higher education and career guidance information, which annually publishes rankings of universities and study programmes, pays close attention to the international reputation of universities. Other criteria include the ratio between the number of teachers and students, the number of citations of scientific papers per teacher, the reputation among employers, and the proportion of foreign teachers and students.

As compared with the last year’s result, the University of Ljubljana has made the greatest progress in terms of the ratio of teachers to students, which is an indicator of the quality of education, the international reputation and reputation of its staff.
