The University of Maribor Wins the Nationwide Student Marathon of Programmers

The University Programmers Marathon is a nationwide student programming competition with an emphasis on the knowledge of data structures and algorithms. At its final stage, the champion of the University of Maribor was determined. The first place was taken by the team consisting of Vid Keršič, Niko Uremović and Mitja Žalik. The second place went to the team consisting of Martin Domajnko, Tilen Koren and Jakob Kordež.

Both teams represented by students of the Computer Science and Information Technology programme will take part in the regional CERC 2019 competition, which will be held from 29 November to 1 December 2019 in Prague (Czech Republic). They will compete with the teams from Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The best teams will reach the finals, which will be held in Moscow in 2020.
