The Net Profit of Petrol Group Increases by 12% According to the Results of 2017

The net profit of Petrol Group increased by 12% and amounted to 81.1 million euros, according to the results of 2017. Last year, the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation & amortisation) of the Group amounted to 112.2 million euros (a 13% increase on an annual average basis). The Group was most successful in energy and trade.

The Petrol Group sold 3.4 million tons of oil products last year, which is 5% more than in 2016. Revenue from the sale of goods rose by 7% to 538.3 million euros.

At the end of 2017, the Petrol Group had 495 petrol filling stations, of which 317 were located in Slovenia, and the rest in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. The staff of the Group includes 4,508 employees. It successfully provided for a comprehensive supply of all hydrocarbons, as well as energy and environmental projects. In 2017, the Petrol Group sold 1.3 terawatt hours of natural gas, 151,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, 21 terawatt hours of electricity and 140,800 megawatt hours of heat energy.

The lion’s share of the Group’s revenues and profits was made by the parent company Petrol, whose share in the Slovenian retail market of petroleum products is 57%. By the end of 2017, its revenues amounted to 3.7 billion euros, which is 18% more than in 2016. The net profit of the parent company increased by 47% and amounted to 64.3 million euros.
