The Finance Management Collects € 16.6 Billion in Taxes and Fees in 2018

In 2018, the Finance Management collected 16.6 billion euros in taxes and fees, which is 6.9% more than in 2017. It is worth noting that in the first three quarters of 2018, the growth of the economy was stable – at the level of 4.5%.

Social security contributions (pension fund, disability insurance, health insurance) increased by 7.6% last year, and in general exceeded 6.5 billion euros.

Proceeds from taxes on goods and services grew by 4.4%, while revenues from profits tax and personal income tax increased by 11.1%. In particular, the proceeds from the tax on corporate income increased by 10.4%.

The share of voluntary taxes and fees rose to 95% last year.

The total tax debt for the year amounted to 1.2 billion euros, which is by 5.5% less than in 2017, and by 15.8% less than in 2014.
