The Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor Takes Part in the Implementation of the Strengthening the Identity of the Pohorje’s Residents Project
The Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor took part in the interdisciplinary project “Strengthening the Identity of Pohorje’s Residents”. Its purpose was to study the role of downhill skiing in Pohorje and prepare a project for opening a museum of downhill skiing in the settlement of Rogla. The project was implemented from February to May 2018. For this period, its participants (experts, teachers and students) mastered new interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.
The project involved students and teachers from the University of Maribor and the University of Ljubljana (students: Aljaž Nerad, Taja Kaluža, Mark Zgrinskič and Nina Gričnik), as well as assistant Nejc Pozvek (Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor, the project leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanja Lešnik Štuhec); students from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Maribor: Nina Horvat and Zala Virant (the Geography study programme) and Timotej Fafulič (the History study programme) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ana Vovk Korže; a student from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana, Urška Martun (the Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology study programme), the project leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mateja Habinc; and students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics of the University of Maribor, Ivana Plohl and Andreja Krapše (the Media Communications study programme) under the supervision of Dr. Katja Udir Mišič.
The Zreče basic school (representative – Lucija Levart) and the municipality of Zreče (representative – Sandra Vidmar Korošec) were partners of the project on the part of the non-economic and non-profit sector.
