The DOBA Faculty Enrols Students for Two Free International Virtual Projects

In the spring of 2019, the DOBA Faculty organises two free international virtual projects for all its students – Virtual Communication Across Cultures (@home) and International Innovation Hackathon. The projects will provide international experience to those students who do not have the opportunity to go abroad to study or to pass a long-term practice.

The international virtual projects that the DOBA Faculty implements together with foreign partners from Belgium, the Netherlands and South Africa give students the opportunity to gain experience in teamwork, develop competencies and receive valuable recommendations.

The Virtual Communication Across Cultures (@home) project will be held on 7–19 March 2019. Content: the value of intercultural competencies in employment and successful work, hidden meanings of words, direct and indirect communication, cultural connotation, communication styles, a constructive solution to intercultural conflicts. Students from NHL Stenden University and students from the DOBA Faculty (Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia) will take part in the project.

The International Innovation Hackathon project will be held on 9–10 May 2019. Content: current problems of household waste management, distribution of food surplus in restaurants, recycling of plastic waste. Students from Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa and students from the DOBA Faculty from Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia will take part in the project.

The working language of both projects is English. Number of participants is limited. Applications will be accepted until 15 February 2019.
