Merry December: A Cycle of Christmas and New Year Events Starts in Slovenia

On Friday, 29 November 2019, a series of festive events Merry December will begin in Ljubljana, Maribor and Koper. The Slovenian cities surrounded with the atmosphere of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays will present a rich cultural and entertainment programme.

Thus, on 29 November 2019 at 05:15 p.m., festive illumination will start working at Prešeren trg (Prešeren Square) in Ljubljana and fair stalls will be opened at Breg, Kongresni Trg (Congress Square), Gallusovo nabrežjež (Gallus Embankment), Cankarjevo nabrežje (Cankar Embarkment) and Petkovškovo Nabrežje (Petkovšek Embankment). Guests of the fairs can enjoy mulled wine, tea, and festive dishes, as well as purchase souvenirs.

In Koper, festive illumination will be activated on 29 November at 05:00 p.m. The festive event will be held by Lea Sirk, Anika Horvat and the Klapa Semikanta band. On the same day, an ice rink by the sea will start working.

On 29 November 2019 at 05:00 p.m., festive lights will be lit in the centre of Maribor. Festive illumination will decorate the old town square and streets. Fair stalls and music events will be held in the city centre.

At the main square of Celje, festive illumination will be lit on Saturday, 30 November 2019, at 05:00 p.m. On the same day, the Christmas and New Year fair will be launched, and the Fantasy Radio will organise background music.

Slovenian cities will be surrounded with the atmosphere of holidays, the aroma of mulled wine and festive dishes. The Merry December is just around the corner. Are you ready?
