Ljubljana Continues Developing Transport Infrastructure

Until the end of July 2018, the Infrastructure Department plans to build two commuter train stops in Ljubljana: Lavrica and Dolgi most. The vice-mayor of the city Janez Koželj has been offering the idea of this project for several years.

In parallel, it is planned to enhance and modernize seven operating stops (Tivoli, Litostroj, Brinje, Ježica, Vodmat, Stegne and Medno) in the territory of the capital. The total work budget is more than 2.7 million euros.

The municipality drew attention to the fact that 116 thousand people come to the city by personal transport daily, so it makes sense to equip parking facilities in the neighbourhoods of Rudnik and Gajevica. They are also needed within the railway line area (in the direction of Zasavje region) in the Polje and Zalog communities.
