In total, 154.3 million euros were allocated for investment projects in 2020 and 157.4 million euros – in 2021. Most of the funds will be directed to the C0 channel project with the modernisation of the sewage system in the municipalities of Medvode and Vodice – 52 million euros for the next year and 53 million euros for 2021.

The municipal housing fund will receive 2.2 million euros in 2020 and 7.2 million euros in 2021.

It is planned to allocate 12.5 and 13.1 million euros to pay off debts in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Besides, 1.17 million euros will be allocated for the protection of cultural heritage in 2020 and up to one million euros in 2021. As Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Janković emphasized in his interview with RTV Slovenija, culture is not an expense, but an investment.

The new projects covered by the budget include the modernisation of public utilities, the energy rehabilitation of houses, the improvement of Bežigrad Street and the continuation of repair and restoration works in the Ljubljana Castle.
