Invitation to the Lecture by Dr. Aleksey Shakhvorostov – Designer of the Europa’s Highest Skyscraper

On Thursday, 14 February 2019, at 4:00 p.m., a public lecture by Dr. Aleksey Shakhvorostov on the Engineering Structures of Unique Buildings and Constructions in Russia and Slovenia will be held at the Kranj High School of Civil Engineering (Kranj, Gornjesavska cesta, 9).

Aleksey Shakhvorostov is a former teacher of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (Department of Hydraulic Engineering Structures, Reinforced Concrete Structures subject), the author of numerous projects of engineering structures of unique objects – the football stadium in Samara (for the FIFA World Football Cup) and the Europa’s Highest Skyscraper, Lakhta Centre, in Saint Petersburg on the Krestovsky Island (the height of 462 metres), the Olympic track for skeleton and bobsled competitions in Sochi, and the skyscraper Gazprom Centre in Minsk.

Aleksey Shakhvorostov is the founder and partner of Inforsproekt in Moscow, the Director and Chief Engineer of the similarly named company in Ljubljana.
