Guest Lectures Are Held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana
These days, several guest lectures have been held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana with the participation of experts in marketing and business.
Thus, on Monday, 13 May 2019, as part of the VIP Customer Service optional subject (instructed to students of Master’s programmes; teacher — Prof. Dr Barbara Čater), a lecture by Selectium CEO Iztok Klančnik was held. During the lecture, the guest presented a pyramid of company sales and, using specific examples, explained how the company works with VIP clients. At the end of the lecture, the guest told how the service of VIP clients is monitored using the CRM system.
On Tuesday, 14 May 2019, as part of the Marketing Research subject (instructed to students of Bachelor’s programmes; teacher — Prof. Dr Barbara Čater), a lecture by Janjo Božič Marolt, Director of Mediana and National Representative of ESOMAR in Slovenia, was held. The guest told students about ethics in marketing research. The lecture focused on the rights and obligations of stakeholders and on clarifying cases of unethical behaviour as provided for in the ESOMAR Code. The guest also spoke about the ESOMAR’s methods to apply new forms of research and invited students to cooperate with this organisation.
Besides, on Tuesday, 21 May 2019, as part of the Financial Accounting 2 subject, a lecture by Master of Business Sciences Maršo Vošinek (Association of Certified Accountants) from Ernst & Young was held. She presented to the students the order of accounting for the initial coin offering (ICO). ICO has become an interesting source of raising capital for companies, while the order of accounting for these coins is practically not regulated. It should be noted that this material is not presented in standard textbooks on financial accounting.
