Filmika Film School to Operate in the Premises of the Maribor University Library

From 22 November 2019 to 24 April 2020, the Filmika Film School will operate as part of cultural and art projects at the Maribor University Library. Teacher – Jože Slaček, assistant – Kristijan Robič. The school will be open for everyone. Classes will be held in the Glazerjeva Dvorana hall at the Maribor University Library mainly on Mondays from 04:30 p.m. to 07:00 p.m.

It should be noted that this is already the third year when Filmika opens its doors to all listeners. During the first (2013) and second (2014/15) courses, the film school taught the art of making feature films, now the course will be devoted to the artistic world of animation. A 6-month film school (24 meetings of 3 academic hours each) will give students comprehensive information about the methods, history, development and production of animated films. Students will learn the basics that will help them successfully prove themselves in this industry. Theoretical work will be combined with practical classes depending on the wishes and projects of students. Prior knowledge is not required.
