{"id":12106,"date":"2026-05-07T14:03:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T12:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2tm.eu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=12106"},"modified":"2026-06-17T14:04:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T12:04:44","slug":"ljubljana-surrounded-by-thousands-of-runners-and-visitors","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/2tm.eu\/en\/news\/ljubljana-surrounded-by-thousands-of-runners-and-visitors\/","title":{"rendered":"Ljubljana Surrounded by Thousands of Runners and Visitors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 68th edition of the \u201cPath Along the Wire\u201d event is taking place in the Slovenian capital, one of the country\u2019s largest sports and recreational events, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the city\u2019s liberation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The route, nearly 35 kilometers long, follows the line where Italian occupying forces erected barbed-wire barriers and more than 100 bunkers during World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scale of the event is impressive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Nearly 9,000 children are expected today<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20,000 schoolchildren are expected on Friday<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than 20,000 visitors and tourists are expected on Saturday if weather conditions are favorable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, a total of 44,254 people participated in various activities during the three-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, the traditional \u201cThree-Person Team Run\u201d will also take place over distances of 12.5 km and 20 km, where teams of three must complete the entire course together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.24ur.com\/novice\/slovenija\/ljubljana-ob-obletnici-osvoboditve-obdana-s-tekaci-in-pohodniki.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">24ur.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 68th edition of the \u201cPath Along the Wire\u201d event is taking place in the Slovenian capital, one of the country\u2019s largest sports and recreational events, dedicated to the 81st [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":11936,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"news_category":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v20.5 (Yoast SEO v20.5) -
