Egg Omelettes (Frtalje) with Prosciutto


  1. 4 eggs
  2. 250 g flour
  3. 100 mL milk
  4. 30 g cheese
  5. 4 slices prosciutto
  6. a bundle of greens
  7. salt
  8. pepper
  9. olive oil


  1. Mix the raw eggs with milk; add flour, grated cheese, salt and pepper to form a thick liquid mixture.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and pour the mixture into it. Then sprinkle frtalje with chopped greens and bake.
  3. When the egg mass hardens, turn frtalje to the other side and bake.
  4. Put a slice of prosciutto on a plate and add the chopped frtalje.


Frtalje with prosciutto can be cooked in another manner: first bake ham (prosciutto), and then add it to the mixture and bake together.

Frtalje can be prepared with various additives: onions, greens, asparagus, you can add even bacon or vegetables with cheese.
