Egg Omelettes (Frtalje) with Prosciutto
- 4 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 100 mL milk
- 30 g cheese
- 4 slices prosciutto
- a bundle of greens
- olive oil
- Mix the raw eggs with milk; add flour, grated cheese, salt and pepper to form a thick liquid mixture.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and pour the mixture into it. Then sprinkle frtalje with chopped greens and bake.
- When the egg mass hardens, turn frtalje to the other side and bake.
- Put a slice of prosciutto on a plate and add the chopped frtalje.
Frtalje with prosciutto can be cooked in another manner: first bake ham (prosciutto), and then add it to the mixture and bake together.
Frtalje can be prepared with various additives: onions, greens, asparagus, you can add even bacon or vegetables with cheese.
