Cuisine of Slovenia’s Regions: White Polenta with Ramsons

Cooking time: 5 minutes.

Ingredients for 4 portions

  1. 250 g white polenta,
  2. 700 mL water,
  3. salt,
  4. 20 g wild garlic (ramsons),
  5. 50 g butter,
  6. 1 tbsp sour cream (35–40 g).


Put polenta in salted cold water and stir with a whisk all the time. Bring to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes. Add butter to melt. Then add sour cream and chopped ramsons, and immediately remove from heat.

Serve as a snack for meat in sauce.
