Cuisine of Slovenia’s Regions: Buckwheat Bread with Walnuts and Chia Seeds

A great source of protein. Cooking time – 60 minutes.


  1. 500 g buckwheat flour,
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil,
  3. 20 mL oat milk,
  4. 20 mL water,
  5. a pinch of salt,
  6. 2 tbsp chia seeds,
  7. 100 g walnuts,
  8. 9 g dry organic yeast.


Mix all the ingredients into a pasty mass, which is difficult to give the desired shape if you do not have a bread baking dish. Before putting the bread into the oven, sprinkle it with flour and chia seeds to taste.

Bake the bread for the first 15 minutes at 150°C, and then another 35 minutes at 180°C.
