Associate Professor from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Maribor, Receives the Highest Award from the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia

Associate Professor Nande Korpnik, a member of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture, the University of Maribor, was awarded the Platinum Pencil (Slovene: Platinasti svinčnik ZAPS 2019) – the highest award of the Slovenian Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning. This is the highest professional award in the country, which is presented annually on the occasion of the Architect’s Day for significant achievements in architecture, landscape design and spatial planning.

Nande Korpnik is a representative of the middle generation of architects. He has been working at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture of the University of Maribor since launching of the Architecture study programme in the 2007/2008 academic year. As a teacher, he participates in a variety of events, in particular, in projects related to the subjects for students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes. As a mentor, Korpnik introduces students to the creative world of architecture and assists them in achieving their first successes in the professional field.
