A Graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation, and Architecture at the University of Maribor Presents Her Book on Cycling Traveling in Australia

On Wednesday, 4 December 2019, Bernarda Jurič, a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation, and Architecture at the University of Maribor, presented her book entitled “12,000 Kilometres of Sin” as part of the Alumni Club final event held at the faculty premises. The book tells about a bike tour around Australia – 5,500 kilometres from Perth in the west to Sydney in the east and 6,200 kilometres from Cape York in the north to Wilsons Promontory in the south of the mainland.

The author tells openly and without embellishment about making her dream come true, about training, meetings with animals and people, Australian roads, difficulties that arose, as well as issues that interested her in terms of civil engineering, such as the water supply system. During the event, the author demonstrated to the audience an impressive collection of photographs taken during a cycling tour around the Australian continent.
