8 November is the International Radiology Day

On 8 November 1895, German physicist and engineer Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen accidentally discovered a new type of electromagnetic radiation, which he called X-rays. Thanks to this revolutionary discovery, people today benefit from x-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography and magnetic resonance.

Therefore, on 8 November, we celebrate the International Radiology Day. The purpose of this significant date is to draw public attention to this field of medicine and the benefits that it provides. On this day, professional radiologists around the world conduct various lectures, seminars and open days, which this year, are devoted to radiology in sports.
