The number of Ukrainians working in Slovakia remains the highest among all groups of foreigners, totalling 23,000. They are followed by 13,300 Serbs working officially in Slovakia, according to the last month statistics. Among EU citizens, the most numerous group of employed foreigners includes Romanians (8,100), Czechs (6,000), and Hungarians (5,400).

According to the latest March data, a quarter of all employed foreign citizens work in Bratislava.

Thus, taking into account the above mentioned information, it could be concluded that the coronavirus pandemic has not influenced the foreign labour market in Slovakia. The statistics service has not recorded any significant month-on-month decrease in March.
